Patrick O’Meara is the Founder & CEO of his family office, Patrick Ventures, which owns, operates, and invests in Real Estate, Finance, Technology and Consumer Product companies. Patrick’s career spans over 25 years in real estate, finance, advisory and investments. Previously, he was a minority owner of the Ann Arbor Acquisition company which owned a short-line railroad, warehouse and distribution facilities in Michigan and Ohio. In his corporate life, he held executive positions at Heller Financial, The Inland Group of Companies and Institutional Property Advisors. Currently, he serves on the Board of Acanthus Senior Living, United Tiny Homes, the Executive Corporate Board of Phoenix Children’s Hospital’s Foundation (PCH) and the Advisory Board to Integro Bank. Originally from Chicago, he is a graduate of The University of Arizona with a BSBA in Accounting and Finance.
Laura Simione is Head of Capital Development for Patrick Ventures Family Office. She is responsible for capital raising and establishing relationships with family offices, HNW and ultra-high HNW clients and institutional investors. In her 20 year career she has raised $2B for hedge funds and alternative investment strategies. She is the founder of Fundshare and partner of Venture Forward Capital. She was previously Head of Investor Relations of NYCA Partners and Managing Director of Bramshill Investments LLC. She has held executive positions with Baron Capital, BP Capital and Legg Mason. She is a graduate of SUNY and Columbia business school. Originally from Long Island, she is based in New York City and holds a Series 7 and 66 with Finalis Securities.
Nick Martinez is Managing Director of Venture Advisory and is responsible for the oversight of the Acanthus Fund operations, data, compliance and strategic direction. He is Managing Director of Patrick Ventures FO, where he oversees the firm’s multi-layered investment strategy and manages a diverse portfolio of assets, ranging from real estate and finance to emerging technology companies. He is a Partner at Taylor Street, having advised on over $1 billion in structured debt, joint-venture equity and investments for commercial and residential properties. Previously Nick worked with a private multifamily syndicator based in Scottsdale, focusing on the acquisition and repositioning of over $500 million in mid-market multifamily properties throughout Arizona and Texas. Prior to this, Nick served as an asset manager at Merrill Lynch’s Scottsdale office, where he managed investment portfolios for institutional and high-net-worth clients. During this time, he held Series 7 and 66 securities licenses.
Chris Nuccio is the Managing Director of Investments at Patrick Ventures Family Office, where he oversees the firm’s investment portfolio, ensuring strategic allocation and performance across both active and passive investments. His responsibilities include identifying, underwriting, and managing investment opportunities that align with targeted portfolio objectives, as well as collaborating with investment partners on both new and existing ventures.
Before joining Patrick Ventures, Chris was an Investment Analyst at Voya’s $28B IM Senior Loan Group, where he evaluated distressed corporate debt and led the underwriting of a $2.8B syndicated offering, resulting in a $100M investment.
Chris earned a double major in Finance and Economics from Barrett, The Honors College at ASU. While there, he led the Student Investment Management Fund’s team and helped manage a $1M quantitative equity portfolio.
Originally from Scottsdale, AZ, Chris brings a strong foundation in investment strategy, portfolio management, and financial analysis to his role at Patrick Ventures.
